Five-word summary: Zombies exist. Deal with them.

Two-sentence summary: Ms. Delgado is single-handedly manning a watchtower that surveys an island that is
still overrun with the undead. You play Ms. Delgado.

Gameworld:

Tower House stands on Tower Island, in St. Rita Sound, between Collier's Island and Port Lanwick, on the
mainland. Tower House is designed to be run by a very small staff (small = fewer people at risk). In the present
day, it's only considered necessary for one person at a time to be on duty. Usually that person is on watch for
two months at a time, is in verbal contact with mainland base control multiple times a day, and is visited by
supply boats weekly. Due to illness in the assigned staffer, Delgado will be taking over briefly.

Weather patterns have become both more intense and more difficult to manage in an environmentally-damaged,
post-disaster world. Storm fronts move in off the sea on a regular basis, requiring most communications
equipment to be shut down to prevent damage. Due to an incoming front, Delgado will be cut off from the
mainland for 10-12 hours.

Nearly 100 years go, Collier's Island was deforested and repurposed as a giant graveyard, complete with
several chapels and mortuaries, as well as a handful of security people and maintenance workers. Cemeteries
on the mainland were carefully excavated, and the remains of generations of the dead were transported and
re-interred on Collier's Island. This allowed mainland space to be used for the living; in present day, Collier's
Island belongs to the dead.

Gameplay:

Outrider is an adventure game with a first-person perspective, with some comic-book-style graphics, using
standard adventure structure. See below for a more thorough explanation.

SETUP
Open .rar file; drag the Outrider folder to... wherever you want to, really. Run "winsetup" to see what options you
have. I'd recommend running it in a window. Then double-click the "Outrider" icon, and start playing. The rest
should be self-explanatory. I hope!

The INTERFACE
At bottom left is a white box. As you move the cursor over the screen, text will appear, telling you what you're
looking at.

CURSORS
The cursors will blink when you move them over an object that has interaction; right-click to cycle through them,
left-click to use them.

Moving: When you see the star-shaped pointer, move it to the far left or the far right to see the bounds of the
screen.

Sight: The eye-shaped icon lets you LOOK at things. Not everything has a LOOK response, though.

Interact: The hand-shaped icon lets you both interact with things, and gives you more information about them.
It's a good idea to look before you try and interact, though.

Inventory: If you click on the bag-shaped icon at the far upper left, you'll open your inventory. Click on "look" to
get info; "use" to select an item; and "exit" to exit the inventory screen. When you select an item, a red cross-hair
cursor will appear. You use that cursor to direct interactions with other objects, characters, etc.

If you're not sure what item you've selected, move your cursor to the top left and take a look at the second icon
from the left-- you'll see a tiny picture of whatever item is currently active.

If you move your cursor to the top left, a GUI will appear.

Commands, left to right: open inventory, item currently in use, save
game, load game, quit game, adjust settings.
